About John T. Ammann

John was hired at John A. Knutson & Co., PLLP after earning a master's degree in accounting in 1999 — though his history with the firm dates back further: the office is the former site of his childhood tree fort, and his parents' house is two blocks away. He became Director in 2013 and Partner in 2016.

John helps clients adopt and implement new tax rules and solve corporate and partnership tax issues across the construction, manufacturing, real estate, and retail industries. He holds both a Master of Professional Accountancy and a Master of Business Taxation, has served as a University of Minnesota guest lecturer, and has been a KARE 11 News Tax Hotline guest respondent. Regardless of the task, he simply enjoys being a member of his client's team.
