About Luke Palmer

Growing up in Iowa as the son of a business owner, Luke had a firsthand look at the joys — and challenges — of entrepreneurship. Through it all, he saw how deeply his father valued his accountant, and hoped one day to support small business owners the same way. In 2017, degree in hand, he joined John A. Knutson & Co., PLLP as a staff accountant.

Luke was drawn to JAK's "not-too-big, not-too-small" size: personalized service backed by a high level of support. Now a Tax Manager, his practice covers corporate tax, individual tax, small business tax and consulting, and tax planning. He has written on stock sale vs. asset sale decisions and multi-state wage reporting.
